AgriTech Futures Series

The NENW region is building capability, business opportunities and resilience for agricultural production to ensure agriculture is a significant driver of long-term prosperity. The UNE SRI will deliver the 2022 AgriTech Futures Series in collaboration with InAg.Tech (as the major Sponsor), the Armidale Drought Hub Node and local councils in Armidale, Tamworth, Narrabri and Moree. This series will promote connections, share information and grow aspirations for building strong regional futures.

AgriTech Futures Series 2022 major sponsor:

Now is the time to invest in technology to prepare for drought and climate resilience. With the power of the Drought Hub and other partners we are curating the best Agritech available and bringing them to a farm near you!

Event themes:

  • How livestock can be a major contributor to reducing carbon emissions and provide nutrient dense protein alongside other plant proteins.

  • One of the driving narratives of government policy is that tech will best prepare producers for managing climate variability. What are the best solutions to demonstrate traction to date and how can we accelerate adoption for environmental outcomes?

  • Australian businesses are making changes to their practices and creating market opportunities in the face of a changing global climate.

  • ESG is playing out as a major pressure on agri-food supply chains. Mounting concerns about food security; growing environmental and social impacts of food production and consumption and intensifying market demand for sustainable solutions means that investors are asking more information of producers. How will this evidence of practice be delivered?
