Our founder community is home to a diverse group of health and wellbeing focused startups. Across the region, founders are building new ways to deliver care, support well-being and improve health outcomes, often based on gaps they’ve experienced firsthand or in clinical settings.

Health ideas often come from lived experience and clinical practice. Here, you’ll find support from people who understand the realities of regional health.

WHY THE SRI WORKS FOR HEALTH FOUNDERS

The SRI supports health-focused founders working across service delivery, digital health, devices and wearables, mental health and wellbeing, and preventative care. Many are clinicians, carers or community members who understand the complexity of regional health and are motivated by genuine care for the people they serve.

Through our connection to the University of New England, founders can access research insights and specialist knowledge when they add value, whether that’s strengthening an approach, testing assumptions, or exploring commercial pathways. Our founders can also work with UNE students who are studying various health-focused disciplines.

Equally important is the environment itself. Health founders are surrounded by others building thoughtful, purpose-led businesses, creating a culture where care, curiosity and accountability.

Health innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens through collaboration, trust and a network of people who get it, all things the SRI is designed to support.
