Innovation Challenges
Innovation Challenges generate innovative ideas and valuable collaborations. Participants address a problem by creating new or improved products, processes, services or experiences. Bringing diverse talent together is energising and creates new ways of seeing what’s possible.
UNE SRI Innovation Challenges are held each year for agriculture (called Agmentation), for health (called RISE) and for renewable energy (called EPIC).

Anyone in the region - founders, community, innovation partners who are up for a challenge and keen to drive innovation!

Agmentation / AgTech
Agmentation is an opportunity to come together for an intensive problem-solving sprint and pitch! Teams will solve problems that matter to agricultural producers and rural communities.
Agmentation brings together diverse talent. High school students, UNE students and researchers, start-ups and other businesses, producers, innovators and technologists, will come together to combine their ideas and scope solutions.
RISE / HealthTech
RISE 2022 is a sprint and pitch event dedicated to finding solutions to healthcare issues faced by our regional communities.
We are looking to find solutions that will help address current issues as well as preventative solutions that will help to ease the burden on the healthcare system. Ultimately, these solutions will help growth and prosperity in the health of our communities.
EPIC / Renewable Energy & ClimateTech
EPIC invites people from varied backgrounds to come together with industry, technologists, students, community, researchers and investors to help solve key energy challenges, including:

The Mental Health Innovation Challenge is an event dedicated to creating solutions in a fast-paced, interactive, team-based environment.
