TEBA partnership delivers UNE SRI programs in Narrabri

The original Faulkners Cordial Factory and Ice Works, a large heritage precinct with two 106-year-old red brick buildings located in the main street of Narrabri, will become The Exchange Narrabri.

UNE SMART Region Incubator is glad to be partnering with Narrabri Shire Council and The Exchange Narrabri to deliver programs to people in the Narrabri area through to June 2023.

UNE SRI has partnered with Council and The Exchange to co-design and facilitate the project, which will boost economic recovery, community resilience and job creation, by offering capacity building, networking and business development opportunities.

Kamilaroi Country

Narrabri is on Kamilaroi Country, adjacent to the beautiful Nandewar Ranges and on the banks of the Namoi River. It is the administrative centre of a region rich in agricultural industries. Well known for cotton, it is also a valuable wheat, beef and lamb growing area. The regional community is also a strong business, commercial and cultural centre. The Crossing Theatre is a stand-out facility in regional NSW. Narrabri Shire has also been referred to as ‘Australia’ Sportiest Town’ – evidenced in a very visible public monument in the centre of town!

Upcoming events

“In the early days of a new enterprise, each step forward is a win. A community of entrepreneurs and new founders know the true value of these wins and that when we collaborate, it means new possibilities and opportunities, new economies and new jobs.”

The best ideas come from thoughtful and attentive conversation with those who experience a problem or challenge. This is how we can discover the best solutions.

Ideas often grow in hard ground. With new ways of thinking and research, gaps and grooves appear in places where things haven’t grown before and new ideas can take root. Sometimes these hard places change our concepts and sometimes we change the ground. Although beginnings can be tenuous, as we break new ground others can grow in our protecting shade.
