Have you ever thought of starting your own business or side hustle? Are you curious what start-ups are facing as they are building their business? Does entrepreneurship and innovation excite you?

Or perhaps you are looking to immerse yourself in a certain field or industry and experience whether it aligns with your career goals? UNE SMART Region Incubator internships provide an opportunity to explore the answer to these questions! 

At UNE SRI we focus on building a community of entrepreneurs and inspire innovation through our various networking events, business mentors and workshops. Although we have identified a number of exciting internship topics, we welcome your ideas. 

 
 

  • The UNE SMART Region Incubator welcomes applications from University of New England students based in the New England North West.

  • At UNE SRI we focus on building a community of entrepreneurs and inspire innovation through our various networking events, business mentors and workshops. Although we have identified a number of exciting internship topics, we welcome your ideas.

  • There is not cost. This is a paid internship opportunity at a rate of $34AUD an hour on the basis of the casual student contract for 120 hours.

Internship topics include:

  • Supporting UNE SRI staff at the new NOVA building in Armidale with daily office management, hospitality during events and general marketing tasks.

  • Supporting the start-up founders with strategic questions, including for example; developing a strategic marketing plan, competition analyses, customer surveys, IP Landscape analyses.

  • Supporting the start-up founders in their business, including for example; coding software, customer service, and business development.

  • Any other topic or activity that could help students gain valuable work experience and a look into the industry and sector they wish to grow their career in!
