Research to Impact: NOT a Commercialisation Workshop
A practical two‑hour workshop for researchers and HDR students who want to co‑create real‑world impact from their work. No patents. No startups — just tools, conversation and lunch. Join us Thursday 18 June in Armidale.
About the session
What if your research could change things. For good.
Not through a patent. Not through a startup — but through a genuine understanding of the people your work could help, and a practical approach to getting your discoveries into their hands.
It’s built around a simple idea: the biggest barrier between great research and real‑world impact usually isn’t a lack of ambition. It’s the distance between the researcher and the community, organisation or system that needs what they’ve found.
In two hours, you’ll work through practical tools for:
- Identifying who your research could benefit
- Understanding their behaviour and motivations
- Co‑creating ways to translate your discoveries into something they can use
The session includes a short presentation from a UNE researcher already doing this, followed by lunch and conversation with colleagues across the university.
Thank you, we’ve got it!
