We'll also have a chance to hear from current employees at Tyre Power and Gwydir Industries, who will offer their own perspective on why they have stayed with their respective employers for so long.

Meet the speakers:

Zara Tonkin:

Zara was raised in the Moree district and worked as a management consultant before returning home and joining Employment Hero as their Chief of Staff last year, supported by their remote work policy. Zara grew up in a small business and loves that the company she works for is dedicated to serving this group of businesses!

Employment Hero is an all-in-one software platform that simplifies managing recruitment, HR, payroll and benefits. With over 200,000 businesses across 5 countries, their mission remains the same - to make employment easier and more valuable for everyone. They offer various modules to help businesses retain their employees and attract new talent.

James Von Drehnen

James is a well-known business owner and respected member of the Moree community. He served on the Moree Plains Shire Council as a councillor for eight years and was the President of the Moree Water Ski Club. In 2006, James and his brother Robert, along with their wives Samantha and Bernadette, opened Tyrepower.

Thanks to the experienced team's professional attitude, dedication to quality work, customer service, and state-of-the-art equipment, Moree Tyrepower has become one of the top tyre, wheel, service, and mechanical repair workshops in the area.

Antionette McNamara:

Antoinette managed KFC in Moree for 18 years, before joining Gwydir Industries in 2010 as an Office Manager. She was subsequently promoted to the position of General Manager in July 2015. As the General Manager, she acts on behalf of the Board and oversees the company's day-to-day operations. The most rewarding aspect of her job is witnessing her employees achieve their goals, and knowing that she has played a part in helping them reach their full potential.

Adam Love:

Adam Love is a well-known Moree local and well-respected employee of Gwydir Industries. With years of experience working at various businesses, including McDonald’s and KFC, Adam will share his perspective on what it's like to work at Gwydir Industries. He will also discuss why he’s stayed with the company for such a long time.

This event will be an excellent opportunity to learn from the experts and ask questions to find solutions for your business.
