Epic Architecture

Epic Architecture is an Armidale-based practice founded by Principal Architect Jena Glover, who is also a PhD Candidate with Griffith University and a recipient of the National Industry PhD Program scholarship. Jena’s research focuses on off-grid and sustainable architecture, with an emphasis on solutions designed for regional communities.

Through Epic Architecture and her PhD work, Jena collaborates with researchers, industry partners, and local stakeholders to integrate cutting-edge research with real-world projects. The practice works with regional homeowners, landholders, developers, councils, and community organisations to create resilient and sustainable housing that operates independently of traditional infrastructure.

What makes Epic distinct is the way research and practice inform each other. Evidence-based frameworks, renewable energy systems, and adaptable design strategies are tested in practice while contributing to broader industry knowledge. This approach not only serves clients but also positions the New England region as a hub for off-grid architectural innovation.

Epic Architecture is driven by Jena’s ambition to show that regional Australia can lead the way in housing resilience, climate-responsive design, and sustainable growth.
